About Us

    It all began on one of those nights when two friend’s went out for coffee and dreamed about the ‘what ifs’ of life.  Amanda and Jackie wanted to continue to be stay at home moms, but still help out their families financially.  Later, their conversation led to ‘what if’ they started their own business.

    Jackie had previously asked Amanda to make a baby sling for her sister.  With this in mind, both discussed their own talents of sewing, knowledge of accounting, and their drive to accomplish something big.  Their dreams and desires were being intertwined.  And, one could finally guess, that Modern Babe, LLC began on this special night over coffee.

    There is a special bond between the two of them.  They attended the same school and church together way back when, and later, were roommates in college.  Since the good old days, they have gotten married to their amazing husbands (Ben Hedger & Sergio Rizo), had little boys (Mason Hedger & Josiah Rizo), and both just recently had their own little girl (Brooke Hedger & Lydia Rizo).  Check out the “Gallery” section and you will have the privilege of watching their little girls grow as they shower them with headbands and hair bows.
